ABOUT OUR SCANS

STANDARD:
Great for basic web use, simple editing, and small print output. These scans are 4×6″ at 300dpi (1200 x 1800) which produces an uncompressed file size of 6mb.

HI-RES:
Perfect for editing and enlarging. These scans are 8×12″ at 300dpi (2400 x 3600) which produces an uncompressed file size of 25mb.

ULTRA HI-RES / MAX:
Ideal for editing and large format printing. These scans are up to 12×18″ at 300dpi (3600 x 5400) which produces an uncompressed file size of 56mb. MAX is only available for 35mm and only recommended for those who intend to produce prints that are 16×24″ or larger.
We do all of our film scanning using our Fuji Frontier SP 3000 Scanner. Used as a professional and commercial scanner, the SP 3000 produces top of the line quality and results, handling 35mm and 120 formats, Color (C-41) and B&W. The scanner uses Digital ICE to remove minor scratches and dust (this technology does not work with B&W negatives, but every effort is made to keep your B&W scans as dust free as possible.)
By default, all scans are delivered in JPEG format. If you would like your scans delivered as TIFFS, please note that there is an additional fee of $3 per 120 roll and $5 per 35mm roll. Please also note that QTY discounts do not apply and turn around time may be longer for delivery of TIFF files.
When scanning, we perform density and color corrections to give you the best balance of color, shadows, and highlights. Please let us know if you prefer a certain color profile or if you would like absolutely no corrections.

DEVELOP ONLY
We develop all current formats of film including: 35mm, 120 in B&W and Color (C-41), 4×5 sheets in B&W, as well as E6 Cross-Processing. Standard color-negative film development is performed using our Fuji FP563SC AL processor. B&W film is hand processed in our lab using Ilford Ifotec DD-X film developer.

FLATBED SCANNING
We scan from prints and artwork up to 9×12″ in size for your archiving and printing needs. We offer basic color correction and dust removal on all flatbed scans using our Epson Perfection V700.

FUJI FRONTIER SPECIAL (DEVELOP & HI-RES SCANS & PRINTS)
Our Fuji Frontier package includes Developing, Hi-Res Scanning, and Printing. Standard 35mm prints are 4×6 and printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Luster. All print sizes for 120 reflect the dimensions of the negative.
